
Mulonga Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited (MWSC) has successfully restored water supply to the Butondo area in Mufulira and Maiteneke in Chingola following the replacement of old water networks.
This development has been welcomed by local leaders and communities who now have access to reliable water services.
In Mufulira, Kankoyo Member of Parliament, Honourable Heartson Mabeta, confirmed the restoration of water services and expressed his satisfaction with the achievement.
He highlighted that the community had provided positive feedback about the restored water supply and called on MWSC to ensure the sustainability of these services.
Honourable Mabeta commended the restoration of water, noting that it would greatly improve the quality of life for his constituents. He added, "It is great to see that Butondo now has water, and the community is pleased with the development. Moving forward, we hope to build on this by gradually increasing both the hours of supply and the reliability of the service, so that our people can enjoy a decent standard of living."
The Member of Parliament reaffirmed his commitment to work closely with MWSC to drive further development not only in Butondo but across the entire Kankoyo constituency.
In Chingola, Maiteneke Ward Councillor, Alter Chizyuma, also expressed gratitude to MWSC for their efforts in restoring water supply to over 100 households in the area.
He emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between the Company and local civic leaders to facilitate further infrastructure development.
