MWSC has joined the rest of the World in commemorating the 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence.

MWSC was part of the Chingola District leadership which launched the observance under the theme, "UNiTE! Invest to Prevent Violence against Women & Girls," which started on 25th November, International Day for Elimination of Violence Against Women, and ends of 10th December, Human Rights Day.

Speaking at the launch, Chingola District Commissioner Raphael Chimupi called upon community based organizations, non-government organizations and the general citizenry to denounce gender-based violence in communities.

The launch of these activities coincided with MWSC ongoing health promotions in areas where the Company is implementing projects.

MWSC in collaboration with contractors on the Zambia Water and Sanitation Project (ZWSP) were offering free cervical cancer screening, HIV/AIDS counseling and testing, and malaria testing and treatment.
